ISS is currently seeking an Technical Writer.

Integrated Security Solutions, Inc. provides state of the art electronic and physical security to critical infrastructures around the world .  The position for a Technical Writer has become vacant and we are recruiting for a qualified and dedicated person to become a member of the team.  

The Technical Writer needs to be familiar with integrated security alarm system installation practices.  Writes and/or edits technical materials such as technical electronic, mechanical, and software system descriptions for proposals and contract documents; regulations, plans, programs, specifications in technical areas; prepares technical electronic security systems operations and maintenance manuals. Develops and analysis to present information on specialized subject in format suitable for intended audience. Analyzes complex research projects. Edits portions of studies and reports. Analyzes changes to projects and prepares reports of changes for review. Organizes and coordinates assignments that involve complex, novel or obscure problems and/or special requirements for analyzing and organizing information. Creates technically accurate and comprehensive documentation and website support. This position may require occasional travel. Must be confident utilizing Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Paint, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, P.C. and electronic communication equipment such as facsimile, scanner, and digital camera).    Experience with databases a plus.   

Incumbent is required to have a valid driver’s license, must undergo drug screening and be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.  Requires ABA/BS in English, Technical Communication, Professional Writing, or working towards a degree in a related field. Flexible & ability to define problems handle several tasks and juggle multiple priorities given tight deadlines.  Salary ($35-$45K) per annum DOE.
