To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each essential duty satisfactorily. A comprehensive knowledge of integrated security systems is required. This position requires periodic drug testing, a valid driver's license, background check & ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance. While performing the duties of this position, the employee regularly works on a job site away from the main office, throughout the US & possibly abroad. Ensures that installation work is in accordance with relevant codes & regulations. Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation. Inspect installation sites & study work orders, building plans, & installation manuals in order to determine that materials requirements & installation procedures have been met. Install, maintain, or repair security systems alarm devices & related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts & building plans. . Test & repair circuits & sensors, following wiring & system specifications. Keep informed of new products & developments. Request orders for replacement parts. Records serial numbers on all equipment installed & follows through with reports as required for documentation of official records.
